Well, it only takes them about three weeks at the most, to evaluate your transcripts, so you would not be waiting very long. Unless the time has lengthened. I was accepted by them initially based upon having 50% of an RN program completed. No problem whatsoever. They took all of my ancient courses except for the nursing courses. Just wait til they give you the results of their evaluation to take any tests if you have any doubts. Good luck.
I got an email yesterday from EC and they are still waiting on one more transcript however, in the email it also stated I needed a certificate of the 50% clinical. Has anyone else needed to present this to EC or is it based on the transcript from the nursing school I previously attended?

When I applied with 50% of an RN program completed, I did not have to provide a certificate. EC was able to determine from my transcripts that I had completed more than 50% of the program, including clinicals.
Hi,
I was accepted last year with 50% completed from traditional RN program. I think I waited about 5 weeks for to get accepted. I did not provide a clinical certificate, however I did provide them with a copy of my course outline stating what each semester entailed. Best wishes. Excelsior has a great program. I have two exams left, before I can apply for FCCA & CPNE. The only down fall is staying motivated when you do not have the deadlines that you have in traditional RN programs.
Thanks to everyone who replied! I feel more confident, especially after failing last semester. That was hard to take but after coming to this site and reading about EC it has restored my thrive to becoming a nurse. I've been reading these threads as if I had to take a test on them...lol. I just want to add, all of you are a wealth of info, inspiration and suppot thank you!
good for you on getting started with getting those exams out of the way. just remember that all good things come to those who wait! it just sounds as if they are dotting their I's and crossing the T's. i have submitted my CPNE in december and I'm still awaiting a date for testing, but I can wait, more study time for me. again good luck to you:D

I just sent my application to EC and pray that they accept me:confused: I've been reading the threads here but it seems everyone else were accepted with there medical background. I want to sign up for the 1st two test but I dont want to waste my money nor time if they dont accept my application. Any advice?
