Has anyone applied for Fall 2019 LVN program at Mission College in Santa Clara

The last day to turn in the application was today. This is my first time applying so I'm not sure if there is a waitlist. I really hope I get in because if I don't I have to attend Gurnicks LVN.

Hi,

I applied to the program.. I was told we should find out by april 12th if we got selected or not, I was also told they have 30 spots to fill with 2 alternates in case someone decides to not attend... hope that helps.

Thank you for the response!! Did they mention if a lot of students apply or if it’s impacted? Because I may sign up with Gurnicks LVN just in case!

I don’t know how many people applied for this year but during an info session at the school they mentioned that last year they had about 110 applications or so.

Oh wow! That’s a lot more than I thought! Haha

I wasn’t able to attend the info session so I may not get in because of that! & I feel like it’s taking forever to find out! But good luck!!! Hopefully not that many applied this year.

I’m hoping not many applied too. But the good thing about this program is that they are a true lottery, so as long as you apply and meet qualifications, you have a chance. Good luck. Please let me know when you receive and email or a letter...

I applied and per the application, we were supposed to get an email 4/12/2019 regarding our application status. Has anyone else applied and been notified?

Still nothing snail mail or email as of 4/13! I did get an email on 4/3 that stated...

Dear LVN-RN Student,

In a recent audit of the Health Occupation programs, it was found that many students have self-declared into one of Health Occupations Programs without going through the required admissions process through the department.

They stated I needed to go to admissions and change my program of study.

Dunno if that is just them cleaning up the program or I didn’t get in. Kinda weird that I would have to go in and change, just to re enroll if I got it??

I got that email too. I was reading that in the past they are usually late sending the notices out.
