We're not allowed to wear watches. There's clocks in all of the patients rooms. It's nice, then I don't need to worry about an infection control fob.

Hey, I actually bought 3 of these! Very cute, but my left hand has to hold it to read it while I take a pulse, and because I'm looking down at the watch that is pinned to my scrubs top, I can't easily assess/count respirations. So......I went back to wearing my wrist watch!

I have thought about pinning it to a lanyard, but have not done that yet.

They are totally cleanable. The watch comes out easily for cleaning, but won't just fall out.

I have just bought a fob watch after looking for a long time. The problem with most that I have seen is that they are very girly and dont suit my rugged personality. Mine is a Leatherman brand with a carabiner clasp. It wont be as effective to clean as the one on the link but I have already found it to be a lot less of a pain than my old wristwatch.

I think Fob V's Wristwatches is a personal choice that is influenced by the culture, someone stated that in the US wristwatches are the norm where the Fob watch is more for the UK. In Australia I think we have a split between both due to our ability to borrow "culture"from wherever we like.

I just got one of the watches, red! I have used it 2 days, getting used to not looking at my wrist. I am so happy about washing, as I dont worry about my watch harbouring water/soap/ bacteria under the metal band.

I am still trying various locations to see which is best/easiest to use/see.

It must be a hit as 2 nurses ordered themselves a watch today. Its 10.94GBP, which is getting cheaper as the puond falls.

After awhile, I decided to order one from this company, and I love it. It's not too big at all. And patients think it's funny that my watch is "upside down" ;) I hate wristwatches because they'd catch germs in them; this is perfect. I pin it to my shirt, opposite side from where I clip my badge. SO easy to glance down at chest to see the time!

The watch face pops out of a one-piece vinyl fob case (with a pin backing). The whole thing cleans beautifully, no nooks and crannies on the fob for catching icks.

With shipping to the US, it cost me about $21 I think (was 7.99 gbp plus shipping) Highly recommend.
