Hi Everybody,
I'm curious if anybody can give me information about Hartnell Colleges LVN-RN program. I've applied there and I've never attended the college before but it's within 45 minutes from my house. Any information regarding their program would be greatly appreciated.
Hi NurseCubanitaRN2b!
Yep, this school is over 2 hours away from where I live so the distance is a factor for me as well. I have been trying to pull up some info about this program and for a while it seemed as if the program was really struggling.
But it looks now as if the retention rate is getting much better, assuming they accept 40 people every semester, which is the number I got from their website and it looks like 37 people from that program took the NCLEX last year, and the period before that 32.
Here are the passrates from the BoRN website:

It looks like the program is much better now than a few years ago. Can anyone personally attest to this?

I would like to know the same. Not my first choice in schools because of the distance but from speaking with graduates who work in Bay Area hospitals it seems that this is a good program if anybody decides to attend it. These graduates seem confident in their work so that's a plus.
