Harris Health (Ben Taub) GN November 2015

Hi y'all,

I'm from Oklahoma and just received an interview for Ben Taub's GN Internship program to start in November. I wanted to make a post for anyone else who may be going through this process as well so we could keep each other updated. Also, for those who work at Ben Taub or have gone through the internship process, could you share your experiences and what we should expect?

I was unable to attend the information session. Wish I could of gone, but thankful I still landed an interview! I'm sure it was very helpful! Did you go?

Yes, I went to the information session and just had my interview this morning. I thought it went well...but nerve-racking. How did your's go?

I thought it went well. I'm from out of state, so they asked me to go ahead and interview with the unit manager. Now just to wait!

I can only speak about BTEC. If that's where you will end up, be prepared to work. Study in advance. Look up Sheehys at Amazon. Enjoy the ride. It's really hard to describe the process, you just have to see it for yourself since there's nothing like it. Good luck!

I got called for LBJ EC position interview. Will working there be like at BTEC? How should I prepare for the interview questions they will ask when meeting the manager? Thanks for the tip!

Congrats on your interview with LBJ! Does anyone know how many they are interviewing for the second round by chance? A unit manager told me the harris health had over 700 applicants.

Woah, that's a huge number of applicant. I didn't realize that many applied. During the interview session, they informed us that they are accepting about 40 positions in Harris Health.

Not many places for the amount of applicants! When is your interview at LBJ?

The interview will be on Aug 31st. I havn't heard anything from ben taub yet. I was told they will call at a later day for those moving on to 2nd interview. Keep me updated if they call!
