Hi friends!

I just graduated and have accepted a position in the periop 101 program at Harborview in Seattle starting in September!

I am hoping to meet some other people who are going to be there as well ?

LOL how!??? I applied there with 1 year of RN tele experience but they didn’t even consider me. They want me to interview for their UW Northwest campus. Ugh. I’m grateful but still....

I work as a periop assistant at my current hospital which is a level 1, and I work on the surgical floor as a CNA, I had 3 letters of recommendation, and gently email stalked the recruiter LOL. I also did my senior practicum in the OR which included doing the first 17 online modules of the periop 101 program and they seemed really impressed by that so I think that's what gave me a leg up. Have you tried contacting the recruiter? It may be worth shooting your shot and expressing how interested you are if you are really wanting harborview.

Ah bummer. Sounds like you got children's though which is still an amazing hospital! I was split 50/50 on which hospital I was hoping for

It's been so amazing, it's A LOT for sure, but I've learned SO MUCH and I'm so excited to get off orientation and not be the new babies anymore ?

yeah I’m really excited to start! my name is jeremy by the way I’m sure I’ll see you around!

We are excited to have you, I'm Dree, people will tend to identify me by my bright pink fanny pack ?

I'm obviously still new, but I have been saving an abundance of resources and things in a binder (working on converting it to digital) that I wish I had during the program to help me along so if you ever need anything I'm happy to help!

 See ya Friday!

Ah how cute okay I will be on the look out! Looking forward to meeting you all!

Oh good to know. I was thinking of making a map of where supplies are during my interview since it's such a large OR.
