Harbor UCLA Nurse I/Relife Nurse

Harbor UCLA Nurse I/Relife Nurse

Updated:   Published

Hi all, I have applied to a Nurse I/ Relife Nurse with LA county. I have received an email with a link for scheduled examination.  After a week I took the exam, I received an another email that saying I passed the test and I will be on the eligibility list.  Now I am not sure what I do. Some people told me to call the nurse recruiter and ask for interview. I checked the County website....but I am not really sure if this is the right place to contact. https://dhs.lacounty.gov/office-of-nursing-affairs/home/nurse-recruitment/

Should I just wait for those recruiter to call me or should I call them?  Is there anyone who went through those process? I really appreciate any advice...!  Thank you.

@NurseEm10

did you call today ? For what unit specifically. I just called a half an hour ago and they have med surge and other outpatient units available

He said they have outpatient but no inpatient vacancies in general.

thats weird, I called and he said there was med surge . Try calling tomorrow and everyday after that. don't give up, something should open up. @NurseEm10

Hi everyone!
I've interviewed with 2 different county hospitals this week: one on Monday, and one on Thursday.

From browsing past forums, it sounds like people received job offers within 2-3 business days. If I don't hear from them within that time frame, should I assume I didn't get the position?

Thank you all!

Hi I just received the email to do the test today but it won't open until Monday for me. I was wondering how you guys studied for it or what resources you guys used? I was unsuccessful in passing 2 years ago so I don't want to mess up again and I am trying to prepare as much as possible. Thank you!

Im not really active here, if you'd like give me your email and I can give you some tips . @MurseRN1996

Hi everyone. When you pass the county test, nowadays you call the hospital you want to work at and ask which units have openings.

Back in the day (2017)... You would pass the test and get a slew of HR calls from unknown numbers from Rancho, LAC+USC, Harbor, etc. Fast forward to 2021, you call. That's how I got into my present position.

Did you start? What unit?
