Hi, all
I am ging to graduate this coming May with BSN. Feel so stressed because I learned that it seems impossible to apply for H1B as a registered nurse. I was told that I may apply for greencard directly, but it takes years. My opt is only for a year, which means after my opt expires, and I have not received my greencard, my status will be illegal. I am so frustrated that I have been studying so hard and it just turns out to be nothing. Can anyone give me some idea about applying for H1B or greencard, please? Any help will highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
It has always been the case with H1b that it is filed in April and unless the facility is uncapped and not many are then start date is Oct. the expedition is paperwork and getting approval/denial. You then have to attend a interview and actual documents properly checkedWhy October start date? Does it take 6 months to process an h1b? Or is there another reason? It can be expedited (2 weeks) with extra payment (??)

for nursing jobs, if the job requirement says "BSN Preferred", does the job qualify for H1B? Magnet hospitals practically has all positions that says bsn preferred, and i read somewhere if it's a magnet hospital there's a good chance of getting the h1b visa approved?? (but magnet hospitals will most likely require years of experience)
