Gwynedd Mercy University ABSN Fall 2019

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hi everyone, I will be starting Gwynedd's ABSN program for Fall 2019, but I have a couple of questions about the program. Can anyone in the program tell me a little bit about it and how organized the program is? I have been hearing some talk about the program being disorganized and I want to make sure that this school is the right fit for me.

Hi,

I was also accepted into the fall 2019 cohort at Bensalem. I will be travelling in from Lakewood, NJ, which is about an hour away. I was wondering if anyone else will be travelling from that area?

Hey everyone! I got accepted to GMercy’s fall 2020 cohort in Center City and would like to ask for some feedback/personal experiences regarding the ABSN program. Any info is greatly appreciated ?

Hi! Did you end up going? How has the program been for you? I am looking to apply for Fall 2021. Do they still offer two locations? Center City and Bensalem?

hi Emily!
So I’m in my last semester of nursing school and it’s beyond brutal. The program is very very very difficult. It’s doable though. I was supposed to graduate December but had to withdraw from a class b/c I wasn’t able to pass. You have to literally give it your all and then some. It’s so freaking hard you just cry all the time, you’re stressed and overwhelmed and I’m friends with a lot of the students and they’re overwhelmed, but somehow you just get through it together. The professors barely help you (maybe there’s 1-2 good professors) you’re going to make the decision on that. Clinicals aren’t fun but you end up learning a lot. The dean is awful... and I’m not sure what else to write. If you need any other info, let me know I can send you my email and we can chat that way.

Wow that seems crazy but congrats on making it through to the last semester!! I wish the professors would help the students more as they know how difficult the material is. Would you mind me asking what your undergrad GPA was as well as pre req GPA? Just hoping my undergrad GPA will be good enough. This is my second choice school but if it is the only one I get into I will attend!

Congrats again on almost completing the program, I wish you the best of luck as a future nurse!

I’m attending the Bensalem campus, how about you?

Hello,

I am applying for the weekend nursing program fall 2021. How was your experience at Gywnedd?
Do you know by any chance how the weekend program works. Thank you

It works the same just everything is on the weekends. The program is beyond brutal. My experience was okay, not the best but no nursing school is amazing. It's very hard, you have no life for the first 2 semesters, they scare the crap out of you with the NCLEX... clinical's are boring. I mean its A LOT OF STUDYING, so much BUTTTTT you end up adjusting and just doing it. Not sure how much you want to know LOL b/c I can keep going.
