Hi everyone, I know this thread is from 2016, but I am interested in applying to Nova's ABSN program and would like to get some feedback about your experiences while in the program and post-grad if possible. I have been accepted to a few ABSN programs that are slated to start this fall; however, I've been doing some research and starting to fall in love with Nova. Part of me is saying to start this year and get it over with. The other half of me really wants to take the year off in hopes of applying and being accepted for next year's cohort in 2021. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the insight. I agree. Just want to make sure I do all I can to increase my chances of getting accepted. I also have a quick question about the program since you're a current student. Does the school participate in the HESI exams? If so, how do they calculate it into your final grade?

That's awesome- CONGRATS! I'm leaning more towards taking the year off and applying for next year's program. It's definitely a huge risk but one that I think I'm willing to take. Do you know what they look for in a student? I've tried calling the office of nursing because I have a few questions but haven't heard back yet. My next option is to email Kristin.

Thank you so much for the reply and info! How do they prepare you for the HESI? I’ve read on a few other threads that some students were forced to drop out of ABSN programs bc of it, so that part is really important for me. Also, what’re the formats for exams (I.e., multiple choice, T/F, short answer, etc)?

To former or current students in the program, does the school participate in HESI exams? Also, I'm aware that PSON utilizes a "hybrid" format. What does this mean for quizzes or exams? Are they in person or online?

Thank you both! Approximately how many total clinical hours did y’all attend during the accelerated program, and which hospitals? Also, what does a typical week look like—both during the summer and in other semesters?
