So I just got accepted to Gmercys accelerated nursing program and I am so relieved that I got in. Anyone else starting in May? Does anyone have any extra info they are willing to share?

Hi I was also looking for information regarding application process. I just recently applied I believe they are just waiting on my transcript to start. How long did it take? I am applying for the August cohort

Hi All- I just graduated from this program and would caution anyone to think twice about attending this program. I did very well in the program (I was at the Philly campus) but had so many issues with it. As someone stated earlier, there was a severe lack of organization or support. They frequently changed schedules on you , scheduled many people for weekend clinicals when we were told that this would not happen and it did not provide good learning opportunities. The program recently got a new director who is trying to make all kinds of changes and enforce things that students were never told about. When they make mistakes they will not take any responsibility for them. Most recently, they failed to send in confirmation to the state that half of our class completed the program, meaning that they delayed our ability to sit for the NCLEX by several weeks. I would go anywhere else if you have other options.

Hi everyone,

I've applied to the August cohort and I'm waiting to hear back about if i've been accepted or not. However, today I received a confusing letter. It reads: "As an applicant here at GMU for the ABSN program, we want to make sure you have all the tools to be successful to guide you in your decision making process. On may 17th, there will be a mandatory finical workshop where you will meet with the Bursar's and Financial Aid Departments to discuss tuition and the different options that are available as method of payment". Has anyone else received a letter like this and NOT been accepted? It seems a little backwards that they would be mailing letters about how to pay for the tuition prior to acceptance or rejection letters.

Just call to confirm your acceptance but once you pay the deposit, you're already in . It's easy to get accepted. I'm at the Bensalem campus and the teachers are very helpful. I started in January not too long ago and so far, so good

What was your GPA if you don't mind me asking? I'm just getting really nervous because I heard from one of the admission counselors about a month ago that they are reviewing my transcripts and I should hear by letter once a decision has been made but every day I don't hear I'm freaking out.

I got this letter today, too. Was also really confused why we'd attend a finances session prior to being accepted. Or are we accepted and just don't know yet lol

I was really confused too. I am wondering if the financial department has a list of people accepted before we received letters. It doesn't seem to make sense to send us financial information if we didn't get in. Hope thats a good sign! How long ago did you apply?
