Hi everyone!
I was recently admitted to the GMU ABSN program starting August 2018. I was wondering if anyone else was accepted to the Bensalem campus for August? Also, if any previous students have any information and if the program got better?
Thanks!!
I looked into Gwynedd mercy for the accelerated nursing program. I told them I have a low gpa (2.5 undergrad). I took some science pre-reqs and got all A's. I was told to take 2 more science pre-reqs to make myself a stronger candidate (& she even mentioned this portage learning). She said it's not a guarantee that I will be accepted but I will be a strong candidate. Can someone that was in this same situation give me advice?!? Will they accept me or most likely not?
Did you ever hear anything back?
It's been a little hectic trying to finish up my last pre-reqs and applying for the program. I just filled out the application yesterday (5/23/18) and I'm applying for the Jan-2019 Spring Cohort. Are you applying for the program?
Yes I applied last year so they already have my application on file so I just have to send my updated transcript. They told me I have to send in my new application on June 20th (for the Fall 2018) and the advisor said my application has improved immensely. So hopefully that helps me get accepted.

Did they not take you for last year?
If you don't mind, what was your GPA and your science grades?
my cumulative GPA is 2.4 ish not really positive but its horrible. But my science GPA is a 3.5. At the time I applied last year I was told to retake Nutrition and Human Development because the credits from my university didn't transfer over. I also had to take InOrganic Biochem & Microbiology. Hope that helps my cumulative GPA is the only thing holding me back imho.

Ah I think you will be good this time! Are you waiting to hear for August 2018 or January 2019?

I got a call today from a lady from admissions to submit my application today instead of June 20th, to see if I can start orientation June 12th for the Fall semester! I'm hoping this is good news that i'll be accepted!
