Gwynedd Mercy ABSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!

I was recently admitted to the GMU ABSN program starting August 2018. I was wondering if anyone else was accepted to the Bensalem campus for August? Also, if any previous students have any information and if the program got better?

Thanks!!

I was accepted yesterday to the Bensalem campus in August!!

Did it take a little bit for you to hear back? My file was recently just processed and marked as complete. Also, what was your GPA? I'm so nervous I'm at above a 2.7. Hit a bit of a rough patch last semester, wondering if maybe I should have waited to complete my application once I finished these courses end of April. I have all As so it would have made a big difference 😢 hoping like hell I get in!

it took them about 50 days to get back to me but it was over christmas break so it might take less for you!!

That's not too terrible! Hopefully I hear back soon! Really nervous!

Took little over a month to hear back once all my transcripts were received. My degree gpa was a 3.3 and my science pre-req gpa was 3.8

Man! Hopefully I hear soon! Extremely nervous!

Yes, I applied at the end of December and just found out this week. It took a while! I had a 3.69 but I had a D on my transcript that I was worried about.

Yeah I know a lot of people who have been admitted with worse grades. I have All A's and B's on my transcript other than 3 C's and 1 D, which is what killed me! However, I hope they focus more on my good grades as the 3 C's and D are in courses that have nothing to do with nursing or science. I completed all of my pre reqs that they require except Chem II and in the sciences I have an A in AP II and B's in the rest of the sciences. Hoping that helps me and hoping to find out sooner rather than later!

I looked into Gwynedd mercy for the accelerated nursing program. I told them I have a low gpa (2.5 undergrad). I took some science pre-reqs and got all A's. I was told to take 2 more science pre-reqs to make myself a stronger candidate (& she even mentioned this portage learning). She said it's not a guarantee that I will be accepted but I will be a strong candidate. Can someone that was in this same situation give me advice?!? Will they accept me or most likely not?

Hey! Do you have an email address?

I applied for the May 2018 program in mid December and still have not received a response yet

(which i find to be odd since the program is starting so soon!) My overall GPA was a 3.00 and I

have completed all of the prerequisite courses except for organic chem. So I was just wondering

if anyone else was in the same boat as me and could tell me what expect?

So weird! Because if you look and scroll up other people that applied in December for the August cohort heard back already! I would reach out to your advisor! I mean the program starts in a month or so for you and that won't be enough time to complete chem if you don't find out like this week! They may have your application mixed up or forgot. I'd honestly call!
