GWU RN to MSN Fall 2018

Anyone applied to the George Washington University RN to MSN (FNP) program beginning Fall 2018? I just submit my application...and being the supremely patient person that I am, I can't wait to hear from other students on how the process has gone for them! I have no clue what my odds of being accepted are. I have a 3.9 from my ADN program and a non-nursing related bachelor degree. Good luck to everyone out there waiting to hear back and congratulations to those that have already been accepted!

I have applied to the George Washington University BSN to MSN (FNP) program for Fall 2018. They sent me an email stating that my application was complete. According to the email, they will start reviewing applications after the closing date (January 15) and notifications will be sent out after about 4-6 weeks. I have also applied to Georgetown University's FNP program for Fall 2018. Good luck to you!

I also applied for the BSN-MSN FNP program for Fall 2018 and just got accepted! Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations!! How exciting! Hopefully, I will find out something soon. Are you located in the D.C. area?

Congratulations!! How exciting! Hopefully, I will find out something soon. Did you apply for the online program?

Thanks abva17! I live in the northern virginia area. I believe the FNP program is mostly online courses?

I live in central Virginia. Did you apply for the early decision last fall? I applied around Christmas and hoping to hear something soon. Was GW the only place that you applied?

I didn't apply last fall because I wanted some experience under my belt before starting fnp. I applied mid-december? So you should hopefully hear back soon! I also applied to george mason's fnp program.

Thanks for the information. I do not know anyone who has completed GW's program, but I saw that it is highly ranked. Are George Mason's courses all online?

I do not know anyone who has completed GW's program either, but I do know a couple who are already in it! It is a highly ranked online FNP program! In regards to George Mason, most of the courses are on campus. So I am still debating whether online vs. on-campus is more benefical more me.

Congratulations! That's awesome! Were you notified via email or through your online account?

Thank you! Yes, they notified via e-mail first to check your official decision letter via website.

Just received my acceptance notification on the website! I happened to check today although I still have not received an email that notified me there was an update to my account. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Congratulations! I also received mine earlier this week. I believe that my email notification came about a day later than the acceptance on the website.

I just found out march 15 that I got in! Now waiting for a few other NP programs!

Hey Guys!

Congrats on getting accepted! I found out in December, so I will be joining you guys for Fall 2018. Have you guys found out any info about scheduling courses? I wasn't able to make the online Q&A because of work. This is my first online schooling so I am still getting use to it.

I'm excited to start with you guys soon!

Hey cw1029,

Congratulations on getting accepted! I have already registered for fall classes through GWeb. I used the sample curriculum on the web site to determine which classes to register for.

I'm looking forward to getting started and will be "seeing you" online.

Does anyone know if the program requires an on campus orientation? Checking the "on campus" requirements, I did not see anything, but I read in previous years this was a requirement...

I got accepted on 4/18 for RN--BSN-MSN ( FNP) program. I live in Maryland. I am so excited! I noticed that the school automaticly registered NURS 4417 and NURS 4119 ( RN-BSN part) for the first semster. Will anyone start these two courses on Fall semester? Thanks!

I'm starting in the fall as well. Are you going full time or part time? I think I'm going full time if they accept my transfer credits. That way I'll only have two classes in the fall, but 4 in the spring.
