GWU ABSN/VBSN Spring 2019 Cohort

Published

Has anyone applied for the George Washington University Accelerated/Veteran's BSN program for the Spring of 2019?

Was the decision letter in the section that says "events"? I'm still waiting to hear back

It should be under "My Applications." If it's verified and under review it will say "Congratulations! Your application is under review" and when your decision is ready the icon will turn into an orange envelope that says "Your decision is ready." That will lead to the letter from them.

Hello everyone!

So I received an e-mail to RSVP for one of the admitted students days. I was thinking of going on 16 November; I will be flying out from Texas. It would be really nice to meet potential roommates that day. I wouldn't mind having two roommates so we can save more and also so we can afford an apartment close to school. Feel free to give suggestions! Hopefully we can figure out the FB group situation. You can also add me on FB >> Than Castro (Lufthansa Castro)

Hopefully I get to meet all of you, good luck!

My apologizes, I was on the fence between GWU and some other schools I was accepted to but I finally decided to stick GWU. I created the group again and added a link as well but my comment will show once its approved by the allnurses site. If I find you guys on facebook before you find the group, I will add you personally

Is there anyone still waiting on a decision? Has anyone heard from the admissions office?

I am still waiting too. I'm getting really anxious. Does anyone have any updates on when we should expect letters?

Im still waiting :( i emailed them on friday and they said end of this week.. im literally refreshing every hour.

When I spoke to admissions last week, they told me everyone that submitted by the priority deadline should be hearing back by Friday (last Friday BUT it wasn't a definite). They said everyone else should be hearing back within 2 weeks. Hopefully we hear something soon!

Hello,

I have been following this thread to see how the process is unfolding. I applied a day before the final deadline (9/1) and haven't heard back yet. On the website the final deadline has been extended to October 15 so curious how that will impact decisions...

I've heard great things about this program from a current student graduating in December. If I am admitted I will be commuting from Alexandria!

That's a brutal commute. I currently live in Arlington (Clarendon) and have decided to move closer. I like the city and Ashburn is definitely just the opposite. Reston Towncenter seems like the best balance.

Hopefully you get your decision letter soon & good luck!

Thank you! Great idea with the move. It will be a sacrifice back and forth but hopefully well worth it. With clinicals we'll be all over the place anyway.

I will be commuting from MD..... it is a 15 month program (not too bad) I wish it was a 12 month program lol. I will just have to get up early to avoid the terrible traffic. It will be worth It in the end!
