Anyone applying to nursing school for Fall 2019? I will be starting the first of my 3 prereqs in Jan 2018 and would love to speak with others who are in the same boat.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I will also be on a similar track as you it appears for entrance into the Fall 2019 ADN program at Gwinnett Tech. I have 4 classes on my schedule for Spring 2018. BIO 2113, BIO 2113L-in class HUMN 1101, PSYC 2103-online. Taking 2 during summer minimester- FYES 1101 and BIO 2114/2114L. Fall 2018 I plan to be doing BIO 2117/2117L and ENG 1102. I am praying this isn't going to be overwhelming, but I am beginning to refresh last 1 month- quizlet, old A/P books, if I can google and find old tests, hoping I can get my books soon, AND HESI prep book for the Kaplan Review (yes I am starting early). I am so excited and cannot wait to begin! I hope to meet you along the way!

I'm so glad I found this post! I am applying for the Fall 2019 class. I am debating between Gwinnett Tech and the program with Georgia State at Perimeter College. I have to take my sciences over since they are expired and I will be math and psych over since I didn't do so well the first time around
I've been looking into them also but what's their entrance exam? Kaplan as well?
No, theirs is the TEAS. I asked if they would accept Kaplan and they said no
GTC is close by so much more convenient. I am registered for A&P 1 this Spring. Then I'll do Micro over the summer (it was at the suggestion of a few of the students currently taking the class now) and then A&P 2 in the fall. I've been out of school for a long time so I figured one class per semester (well with the lab of course) will allow me time to get back into the swing of things and hopefully do really well.

You'll have a few schedule! I'm really excited as well. Anxious a bit because I've been out of school for a while but I'm looking forward to it.

Which school are you leaning towards and why? I chose GTC because it was closer, didn't really think about anything else. Does it matter which entrance exam is accepted over the other? Meaning is one "easier"?
btw Have you noticed that the book for the bio 2113 class is not posted yet? Do you happen to know if the book is posted in the book store yet or do we just wait until it's online?
I'm leaning towards Gwinnett Tech. While Georgia Perimeter is closer to my house ( 15 mins), their lab is in Dunwoody and their classrooms are spread out in different buildings. I also met with the program coordinator at both schools and Ms. Williams at Gwinnett gave me a better " feeling". I've looked at both tests and one doesn't seem harder than the other. The problem is the study guides shows a lot of information that is not on the actual test. The program at Gwinnett tech, you have to finish all your prerequisites before applying, but with Georgia Perimeter, you can apply while they are in progress, you just have to make sure they are completed prior to starting the program and you maintain the GPA or you will be dismissed. I am still going to apply to both programs
Do you have the syllabus? I am not taking A/P until the summer but I wanted to get a head start on reviewing material
Shabish- yes still waiting for them to update the bookstore or anywhere with the updated books. I was considering reaching out to the teachers directly as I am sure they do know which book they will be using.
Now that I see so many others have second options I am interested to see what Georgia Perimeter would have to say but proceeding with beginning all the sciences for now and see where the wind blows me for the quickest start date.
