GTCC Fall 2016 Nursing Program

Just wondering if anyone is applying for the Fall 2016 Nursing program at GTCC? The deadline isn't until February, but I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone has already applied, and how many they applied with. Any info is helpful. Thanks.

Hi everyone! So I'm gonna be obnoxious and toot my own horn for a second. I applied last semester with 58 points and got in. I had to decline because nights weren't going to work well. I have 61 points this semester and I haven't received anything so I don't think anyone else did either. Try not to worry too much. GTCC is overwhelmingly unorganized in every aspect. So, this is normal. I would guess that letters have not even been sent out yet. I was told that there were 112 applicants, 85 will be accepted. Of those 85, 15 are alternates. Nearly all of the alternates receive acceptance calls after the seat acceptance deadline passes for the regular accepted students. There was a large number of applicants with single digits for points. I'm fairly you'll all be fine. I hope this helps guys! I'll see you all next semester!

Hi..thanks for all the info...just curious, how were you able to find out the number of applicants and how many were accepted for this semester? Any info is helpful

Well that's refreshing 112 applied and 85 got in, we should all be good! However all this unorganization of GTCC worries me. When I went to the nursing info session in November, the woman from the nursing department didn't show up at all...Overwhelmingly unorganized concerns me especially since nursing school is so intense as it is, they shouldn't be unorganized on top of it to stress us out more.

I just left gtcc and spoke with the lady who is with the nursing department. She said all letters will be mailed out today. So hopefully we will get something by Thursday of next week

Did she say thursday? Because I've mailed stuff out like three hours away and it took three days.... I live about 30 min away...

She said everyone should have their's no later then Thursday.
