  1. Just wondering if any of you guys have started getting all your documents together? I'm having a hard time getting my immunization record, I think I may have to have some of them done again. Does anyone know if they will accept the immunization records that are attached to my high school transcript ? I have tried emailing the department but no response.
  2. You're very welcome, if you have any other questions I'm happy to try and help. Good luck to you
  3. You might also consider taking math 152, it's statistics and if you make a B or higher it gives you 2 points, plus if you are planning to get your bachelor degree in nursing later, you will need it anyway. Lol I have been trying to get into the program for a while, so I kind of have the system memorized. Just keep your eye on the point system throughout the year because gtcc is notorious for changing the point system.
  4. Don't get discouraged, many people apply to both gtcc and Forsyth tech, so there may be several that don't actually accept their seat. Those that are accepted have to accept their seat by October 13th, so I'm sure alternates will start hearing something after that.
  5. Which alternate are you? I have heard that most alternates make it in.
  6. When I applied last semester I only had like 30 points. So I went back and looked at what could possibly give me more points. I retook classes that I had made bs or cs in and got as. I also got certified as a med aide because that will give you an extra point ( any medical certification other than cna). I also re took the teas test and did much better the second time. My advice is to just go look at the point system and see what you can do between now and next semester to gain more points. Good luck to you.
  7. Did your letter say that the cutoff was 35? I'm pretty sure that you can apply with any amount of points as long as you met the other requirements. How many points did you apply with, if you don't mind me asking. Don't get discouraged, I applied last semester and didn't get in. Just keep trying you'll get there.
  8. Has anyone started the immunization process and gathering all the needed documents. I went for my physical, first tb test, and flu shot yesterday. I still need to get my shot record and cpr recertification. Does anyone know if they will tell us how to do the drug test and background check or are we supposed to do it on our own?
  9. Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I received my acceptance letter today... I applied with 38 points, so you are definitely in too. Just thought I'd let you know to be on the look out today for the letter.
  10. I called Thursday and the woman told me that she was pretty sure they had went out Wednesday....so hopefully they will be here any day now.
  11. Thanks for responding, I have actually applied to the program before but my points were on the lower side then. Also the point system has changed again. The Communications class that used to give 6 points for an A, now only earns you 1 point. When I talked to Angela Dalton, she told me that the points were averaging in the upper 30s this time. Thanks again for your help.
  12. Just wondering who is applying for the spring 2017 nursing program at gtcc...The deadline is coming up, and I just wanted to get an idea of the point system this semester. Any info is helpful.
  13. Hi..thanks for all the info...just curious, how were you able to find out the number of applicants and how many were accepted for this semester? Any info is helpful
  14. Sorry I didn't mean to scare you guys...I just don't want that to happen to someone else..so just stay on top of them.
