GSU Fall 2012

Published

Not sure if there's one of these started already, but it's still pretty far off, so I thought I'd make one. Have any of you guys taken the TEAS yet? If not, where are you taking it? I didn't see any dates listed for GSU.

Thanks for all the congrats!! I'm so excited!

Haven't done my PINS yet but I'm assuming it will be open after I turn in my acceptance form tomorrow...

svictor... I'm sure your letter will be in the mailbox soon!

breezy, is the CPR certification offered on campus? Do we have to pay for it? Just curious. I tried to take a CPR class at my job last year, but the classes (which were free) were always full. :/ Nursing school or not, I really want to keep up with CPR certification (I had it a few years ago but it expired).

No, only Red Cross certification is offered at GSU. The nursing program requires the American Heart Association, but they provide a list of people who can conduct the certification process. I called a woman named Vonya today (she was at the top), and she said that she's creating classes for GSU either the first or second week of June. It's $45, I believe, and takes a little over 3 hours to complete. She said we get the card the day we complete it, so we can have it in time to turn in our packets on June 29! :)

OK, cool....I'll keep Vonya in mind, then, if I get in. ;)

I just got my GSU (ACE) acceptance letter yesterday. =)

Solid recommendation from GSU (science) professor.

Congrats Toby, that's awesome news!! :-) Interesting that you received it on a Wednesday.

Congrats to everyone! I received my acceptance to the ACE program! My GPA is a 3.9 and I got a 90 on the TEAS...I had two solid letters of recommendation. I hope all of you get a letter soon- I have my fingers crossed for you! I can't wait to meet everyone!

Congrats! Do you know anyone else who got accepted? Trying to get an idea if my stats are even relatively close.

Anxiously checking this thread to see everyone that got accepted status/grades... I have a 4.0 GPA in the program and science with all pre requisites completed but Microbiology which I'm currently taking.. but I have a 83.3 on the TEAS... so not sure what will happen.. fingers crossed... there is still hope, right???

I don't know of anyone else yet...but I will let you know once I find out. Don't worry because I think that was the first round of letters that went out. I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you because I know how hard the waiting game is. You will probably see a letter in your mailbox on Friday:) I will keep everyone posted if I find out anything.

Absolutely! Last semester there were people that got accepted with 83's on their TEAS because their GPA was strong. You have a strong GPA, so don't give up:). As I mentioned before, I think that this was just the first round of letters...
