I've been on the Grossmont waiting list for a year and a half now. Estimated start date is fall of 2007...anyone else?? I mainly see posts from people in programs or people still taking pre req's. Looking for others in limbo here in san diego like myself.
wow, i am amazed (and sad) about the long waiting time to get into the nursing programs. I just started doing my school search so i was very excited when i found this website - i can see how you keep each other motivated. i am interested in the vocational nurse program, does this program also have a long waiting list or is it only the RN program?
any idea what the pharm. test is like??? It says we need to pass it to be admitted.
Did you ever find out what the Pharm. test at Grossmont is like??? I am curious too, as I should get in to the program soon (almost at the 2 yr mark on the wait list). Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Navi57
I was an alternate for the LVN transition class starting this sememster and I just found out I got a seat! Woot! My head is spinning from everything I need to get done before Feb. 23, but it's doable! I'm just stoked that I don't have to wait another year!!!
Curious about the 1st classes you guys took, which are they?
Carol - I ended up getting a seat before the semester even started, as did another of my classmates who was also an alternate. The LVN transition class is Nur 110, but you will also need to attend the Nur 118 (Pharmacology), which starts a few weeks before Nur 110. I missed the first week of lecture of Nur 118, but was able to catch up with no problems. Most likely you'll get a seat in the class before the semester even starts, but if not, make sure you go to the classes, b/c we definately lost a few people in the first 6 weeks of Nur 110. Good Luck and congratulations!!
