this will be my second year on the waiting list for the ADN program at grossmont college... when i submitted my application, the school TOLD me it'd be two years, but everyone i talked to said it would be more likely one year, so i assumed that i'd get in this past fall... but, no.
so my question is: is anyone else still waiting on the grossmont waiting list? or if you already got in, how long did you wait? is the city college waiting list any shorter?
no I'm a "m". Do you know when my test date is?? She gave me info on where i could get the study guide. I bought it this morning and it should arrive in 3 to 5 days. I definitely need to study the math. The last time i took a math class was when we were in micro together. Math 160 (statistics) I haven't taken an algebra class in like..... forever. Do you know what is a passing score???
If your last name begins with G – O, you will be required to take the examination on:
Tuesday, May 01, 2007 1:00pm – 4:30 pm
i don't know what a passing score would be... i wish i did! if you want, you can PM me with your email address & i can forward you the email so you don't have to wait for it to come in the mail?
i definitely need to study the math too! it's been 3+ years since i took ANY kind of math whatsoever & i haven't taken algebra since high school. hopefully the study guide will help... the science portion looks a little scary too just from googling it.
I figured the first math test would probably be conversions. I did those in chem 115 and didn't have any trouble with them. Actually thought they were fun. Too bad that was 3 years ago and have forgotten most of it. I'm really good at percents and statistics.
Is that what the first couple tests are like??

i got an email today saying that i'm among the group of students being considered for fall 2007 & that i need to take the TEAS on may 2nd. (YAY!!!) even if you pass, you're not GUARANTEED a spot in the program, you just maintain your spot on the waiting list. if you fail, you can take it one more time before you drop to the bottom of the waiting list.
they're taking 40 for the daytime program, 30 for the night/weekend program & everyone else that passes is put on 'standby' for the fall program.
looking up info on the TEAS kind of has me panicking... it DOES NOT look easy at all. i ordered the prep book & online prep test through ATI, so hopefully that will help.
did anyone else get the email today? apparently they're also going to send the same info through the mail.
