green tube on "Survivor"

On the March 1st episode when Michael was burnt, they gave him a green tube and had him breath in. I heard one of the medics say it was an anesthetic. What was that? I've never seen anything like that before. Thanks!

It was probably inhaled nitrous. We use it quite frequently in our ED. (Central IL)
