green card sponsorship

hi

Does anyone know any hospitals in the philadelphia area that sponsor greencards?

Thanks

I have a few Phillapeno friends that work in the LTC facility as CNAs. I know they work for an agency that is located in New York City but they work in a LTC facility outside of Philly. While working they also go to nursing school. I am not sure about working as a nurse.

Good luck

In order for your friends to be working, they must have at least a student visa and be under the CPT to be working legally, or already have a green card. This is the only way to work in the US if you are not a US passport holder.

Jus to clear up a few things for you that you may not be aware of:

Huladancer's post was from September 2006, and the retrogression started last October. Does not matter that your spouse is in the US now, and even if he finds a facility, there are no visas available for him to get an adjustment of status submitted on his behalf, so he is going to need to leave the US before his visa expires.

1. He must have a Visa Screen Certificate in hand to be able to submit the AOS petition, if it were available and can be a four month wait to get since he graduated out of the country.

2. If you are not in the US when the petition could be accepted, you can not join him for minimum of two years.

3. Please take the time to do some reading on the International Forum to read about the retrogression that you do not have information on.

4. The other thing is that right now since there have not been any visas available since last year, wishing to take cuts in front of everyone else, that has been waiting to get processed and are already waiting is greatly frowned on. Things are very different this year in the US from last year, and coming on a tourist visa with the idea of staying is not acceptable practice.

5. The USCIS just was forced to accept over 300,000 visas last month when no visas available, so there are not going to be any for the AOS for sometime.

6. As well as Philipppines to be expected to be under the retrogression for sometime.

7. And your husband needs to be in the US minimum of five months before he could start to work, when there are visas available. And that means no work whatsoever, to try anything without the visa that will permit him to work, makes him subject to deportation for minimum of ten years.

Since this thread is specific to working in the US as a foreign nurse, it is being moved to the International Forum where it is more appropriate.
