If your points are pretty high(24 or more) you can pretty much know you got in. I had 28 but still had the feeling I wouldn't make it but I did. Let me know if you get your letter today. I stalked my mail lady for weeks and then screamed all the way to my house when I got in:D. I would love to give you names of my favorite instructors but they do not allow names here. I can tell you tho we did not have a single BAD instructor. It was a great program. None of the instructors teach by intimidation they are kind, giving and always there for help. Be ready to study hard and long. Your going to make the best friends of your life. Take a lot of pictures for your graduation slide show. Looking back at pics from nursing three the night of graduation was priceless.....PM if you need anything. GOOD LUCK!!!
I got into Grayson nursing for fall 2011. I am nervous about the program and would like to have an overview in term of classes and the amount of study. Do we have to be in class everyday? Also, if anybody coming from Plano please let me know if we can do car pool. I would like to ask previous nursing student about their experience and any suggestion.
:nurse:Thanks

Im not a previous nursing student, I also got in for the fall, but wanted to share what I do know, which isn't much... Classes are 2 days a week. Practicals are either one 12 hour shift or two six hour shifts. Depending on what is assigned to you. Whe it comes to studying Im not sure but I have heard that you should spend a minimum of 15-20 hours a week... guess it depends on the person. At the orientation there will be a booth selling scrubs, but I have heard that scrub world in Denison has a rack just for GCC nursing students and they are like $24 a set.

So I have applied to Grayson County's fall 2011 ADN program and haven't seen any threads on here about this. Anybody else waiting for acceptance? Hope it's not too long of a wait, I'm on pins and needles!
