Yep, graduated in 2015. 2 GCU threads: has been changes since I graduated. Guess the Stats class is much different, and Capstone is now 10 weeks (other classes remain 5 weeks in duration)

I am sched to graduate in November and unfortunately my capstone is 10 weeks. I finished stats thank god and now I have to finish this class, 3 more and the capstone. Any knowledge you want to share? Was the capstpone horrendous?
I can't comment on th enew Capstone class as by what I have heard, it is very different than th eold 5 week class. I actually found Capstone to be 1 of the easier classes...as 1 got to pick the topic, thus found it interesting, and easy to write. if you check out the threads I posted there is a bit of info on the new 10 week capstone.....GL
It may be difficult if you have a fulltime job. I am a school nurse and off in the summer so I am doubling up once during my summer vacation. I would not even attempt it if I was working. I know you have to have a certain average and at least 3 classes (I think) before they will even let you.
I never doubled up, but I'm a slacker, lol I didnt work for most of the program, and was in no hurry to complete the program. If one is a decent writer, you can get through the work pretty easily. usually took me part of a day to complete a paper....I would do both of my Discussion questions (DQs) right away and get it over with. Its really up to you on how much you want to learn. One could complete a class and for the most part not do any of the readings. Ensure you look at the RUBRIC for each assignment as thats what the prof grades on. A few times not all the required info was on the instruction page! I used the KISS method...keep it super simple....got me a 4.0 and learned a few things on the way. I know at least 2 students that were able to Double up right away....but most wont allow it until the completion of a few classes. GL
