Grand canyon university online acute care nurse practitioner program

I have an interview August 5 for entrance into Grand Canyon University's online acute-care nurse practitioner program. Has anybody else interviewed for this program, started this program, or is planning on starting this program? Can you tell me about your experience with the program?

Isn't GCU's nurse practitioner programs only available to residents of AZ and NM? Is this still true?

Congrats on your acceptance! I was accepted into the FNP program for spring 2014. Is your program all online? I thought I read that in one of your other posts. With my program, we have to go on campus one evening a week for about 4 hours. I am excited to start. I too was hoping to start in the fall 2013 but I'm good with Spring. Just excited to get started.

Hi to all past, current and future students of GCU,So I applied to the GCU Acute Nurse Practitioner Program, It seems so easy to apply, No GRE, no letter of recommendation Has anyone been admitted to this program and whats has be the outcome. I live in California.I was told by my enrollment counselor that the program is 36months, the first year and a half is all online and the later portion is all clinical s. Please I need info about the program, these are the questions I have to ask

Was is easy looking for preceptors

What did you not know about the program that you will advise any one entering into the ACNP program now

How long did it take to get a job

Hi Mikkie, I was informed by my counselor that the program is only 34 months of which 1/2 is online and 1/2 will be clinicals.

I'm planning to apply at GCU AGACNP. Any advise? I'm from California. I'm having a dilemma between Maryville University, Walden & GCU. Any thoughts? I work full time with a family.

I am currently in the same dilemma, and also in California. I am juggling between Maryville, Walden, and Grand Canyon. I also have University of Cincinnati in mind, but it seems that the advisors are hard to get ahold of and not as supportive as the other university advisors.

Have you tried Samuel Merritt? My problem is I don't have the GRE so I need it evaluated. Bad reviews with WES.
