Hey everyone! Has anyone heard of Grand Canyon University's accelerated BSN program? It just launched this year, and was wondering if anyone is applying to it? ABSN - two locations: Sun City and Tuscon.

What is some advice you guys can give? And have you heard any bad or good things about this program ?

I think the program is fairly new so I have not heard many reviews. The program is fast pace and primarily online so I know that can be difficult for some people. I think as long as you have good time management skills and no other commitments it’s a good fit!

I would recommend to start ordering your nursing school scrubs and get your titer blood test

Do you know if it is possible to work during the program ?

It is a pretty new program, it's not too hard to get in.    It is pretty heavily online though.   That aspect seems to be getting from what I hear.

It seems like most of what I've heard are complaints centered around the online format and the workload.

As far as working during class you'll be taking 17 credits every 8 weeks.     I doubt there's time for more than t 1 shift a week if that.    That's why it's a 16 month program though.    Get in and get it done.

Where did you go to get titers? My job has always just done them for me.

I asked my PCP to order them for me

Hi everyone! I plan on applying to the program at Phoenix for fall 2021. Can someone please tell me how the program is? As far as pace, schedule, and how much of it is online? If accepted, I plan to move from El Centro, CA. This is very important for me because I plan to move away from my husband and baby ? so I would like to get some more insight to the program please!

It's about 50/50 as I understand it.    It is very time consuming, but I think you'll be able to sneak out for a long weekend occasionally,  just can't promise.   I'm planning to start May 3rd, leaving two kids in NM.

Hello. I am in the ABSN program right now. It is very fast paced with a large majority of the assignments online. It is a lot of work and is very easy to get behind. We have 2-3 exams per week. They advised us to not travel during the program because of it. You may also be scheduled for clinicals on a weekend. It is not 50/50. We only go to campus for exams and labs.

Thank you both so much! I appreciate the responses!

Anyone starting the ABSN program this Summer? Based on the comments I’ve read, I’m extremely intimidated with the program ?
