Hey everyone! Has anyone heard of Grand Canyon University's accelerated BSN program? It just launched this year, and was wondering if anyone is applying to it? ABSN - two locations: Sun City and Tuscon.
It is a pretty new program, it's not too hard to get in. It is pretty heavily online though. That aspect seems to be getting from what I hear.
It seems like most of what I've heard are complaints centered around the online format and the workload.
As far as working during class you'll be taking 17 credits every 8 weeks. I doubt there's time for more than t 1 shift a week if that. That's why it's a 16 month program though. Get in and get it done.
Hi everyone! I plan on applying to the program at Phoenix for fall 2021. Can someone please tell me how the program is? As far as pace, schedule, and how much of it is online? If accepted, I plan to move from El Centro, CA. This is very important for me because I plan to move away from my husband and baby ? so I would like to get some more insight to the program please!
Hello. I am in the ABSN program right now. It is very fast paced with a large majority of the assignments online. It is a lot of work and is very easy to get behind. We have 2-3 exams per week. They advised us to not travel during the program because of it. You may also be scheduled for clinicals on a weekend. It is not 50/50. We only go to campus for exams and labs.

I think the program is fairly new so I have not heard many reviews. The program is fast pace and primarily online so I know that can be difficult for some people. I think as long as you have good time management skills and no other commitments it’s a good fit!
