graduation question

Hello. Did you have a song that played at your graduation, and what was it if you did.

What did you guys do for dress, did everyone dress the same, was it in scrubs?

Anything else special that you may have done, or are planning on doing?

Graduated last night. We had a slide show playing before the program started that was a bunch of pictures of us throughout the program with some music that went along with it. When we walked up the graduation song played (I don't know the name of it but it's THE graduation song). Had a couple of speakers, walked across the stage as our names were announced one by one and got pinned. Then had the candle ceremony while we said the pledge (which I thought was strange) and then we all walked out of the auditorium together before everyone else was allowed to leave. We wore white scrubs and the nursing caps for our school. It was alright for what it was considering they didn't tell us that WE had to plan it until about a month ago but it was very short (only 30 mins for 29 students).

What I wish we would have done was had some sort of refreshments afterwards and a photographer that took pics of us walking across the stage (one of the students brother did this for us but it was last minute so we don't know how well the pics are going to be considering there was no pause to take a good picture). Also an area where you could take a picture with your family or friends that's decorated with something that says whatever program class of 2008 just so you have one nice picture and background that displays what you were doing.

We haven't had ours yet, but we're in the process of planning. It's already been decided we would wear our clinical scrubs...music is still pending, but I know the last couple of years the graduates have walked to Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This". Another song that someone has suggested for this year was Faith Hill's "There You'll Be"; I think there are some pretty awesome lyrics there....here's a link to the YouTube of it....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpaBQPspLXg.

We also have a cake and punch/coffee afterwards in the cafeteria.

By the way, here's a thread with a bunch of pinning song suggestions....in the end, it might actually make you a bit crazy trying to thin the herd, lol...some great suggestions!!
