In many nursing employment markets, the first job you should select is the first one that extends you an offer. Acute specialties such as OB/L&D and ER are highly coveted, which often means fierce competition with other new grads.
Obtain the BSN as soon as you can because it will open the doors to a wider range of opportunities. Good luck to you!
Instantly. Good luck in finding a job without it. Enroll now so you can tell hospitals you apply to that you're doing it, that may help.
Most RN-to-BSN programs require prospective students to already be licensed as RNs at the time of application, so it would be pointless for the OP to enroll now. She is not yet licensed as an RN.

I will be graduating soon and would like advice on the following questions.
1. Once I graduate with an ADN degree I plan to enter the workforce. How long should I wait to pursue a bachelor's degree in nursing?
2. What would be the best choice to specialize in an area of nursing .i.e OB, ER or work in medical surgical floor and then enter a specialty area?
