So I have been going on this website for a while now reading stories that makes me feel a little bit better while studying for my nclex. So I wanted to share my story..I graduated school in 2012 and I first took my nclex a month after I graduated and I did not pass. I had to deal with a family problem after that and took a break (bad idea) for a year before taking it again. I studied just the minimum (another bad idea). I worked random jobs and I was just so discouraged taking it again since I already failed 2x. Next thing I knew years were already passing by and still have not taken it and just this year I decided to retake it. It was definitely hard since its been awhile since ive been in school and i pretty much had to start again from the beginning since i forgot everything. I first had to figure out what my studying style was because when i was in school I had someone teaching me so it wasnt hard for me to learn it but learning on my own, I had to figure out what worked best for me. I got the nclex mastery app and uworld and I just studied question after question. I used uworld for content and it worked really well for me because i feel like it gives you all the important parts without bombarding your brain with all the information. I scheduled my test date starting april. I kept rescheduling until july because I lacked confidence. Eventually my coworkers kept telling me to just take the test, so I kept my date to july 24th. My test was at 8am because my brain is more awake early in the morning. When I sat down, I took a deep breath and I read all the questions and made sure to take my time but then I started to freak out because I got all these SATA questions and prioritizations and those were the hardest ones!!! I kept going and eventually got to question 85 and I was so scared to press the next because I felt like I didnt do too well on the SATA so if it stops at 85 im sure I failed. It went passed it and on to the next question, ok I still have a chance. Again, more SATA!! I started to get really bad anxiety...I eventually finished at 150? I tried to stop myself from doing the pvt trick because I was so nervous but 2-3 days went by and I havent received anything yet...so i tried it and it gave me the good pop up so that made me feel a little bit better so I waited and got the results today and I passed!!! I cant believe it!! So dont give up!!! If I can do it, you guys can too!

Congratulations! That wait for the unofficial results was so dreadful. I could not focus at all, and I was taking an online class. At least you will be moving on, and have the chance to start this new chapter in your life :)
