Graduated with a BSN but have not passed the nclex trying to find a job as a cna

I live in Maryland and graduated with a BSN in 2009. I have taken the NCLEX once but failed. I waited so long to prepare to take it again because of some financial difficulties and other personal problems. I know it's been awhile since I graduated so it's going to be hard to get back in the game. I have my CNA but with no experience I don't know what to do. I have attempted to apply for work as a CNA but with no experience I'm not sure how to make myself marketable. I really want to start working as a CNA so that I can get back on my feet and get my RN. What can I do to gain experience or just better my chances at finding a job? Any advice would be great!:confused:

Have you considered working in home health? I am in MD too, and when I first got my CNA license, home health agencies were the only places I could go with no experience. The pay would be absolutely terrible, but it's a start. Bright Star, Bayada Nurses, Options, Griswold, Right At Home, and Hospice of the Chesapeake are some of the agencies I looked into. Good luck!!
