I'm so excited that I finally graduate the RN program in May. After three long years it's almost over. I'm excited, sad and scared all at the same time. How does everyone else feel about graduating and what are your future plans? I know I'm really going to miss my friends and I really don't know what I'm going to do with my free time. Nursing school was the hardest thing I have ever done and we should all be proud of ourselves for all we have accomplished.

i'm also going to graduate in may, but i feel like this semester is much more challenging (academically) than the others and i'm a little worried, but i try to stay positive because if other people can do it so can i :) i'm really looking forward to my preceptorship which is the last 4 weeks of school and i plan to work labor and delivery(so far, but it could change). I agree with you that nursing school is definitely the hardest thing i have ever done, but i know in the end it will be worth it all. I thought my first semester was the most difficult for me (not academically but i had a lot of issues related to the things nurses deal with) which almost caused me to dropout, but i'm glad i stuck with it. now if only i could press the fast forward button on this semester! oh well good luck CLASS of 2010!!

I'm graduating in May, too! As far as future plans- I really hope there will be a job in the near future, haha. I'd like to continue schooling, too.
I know I will be crying like a baby when I actually graduate. I consider nursing school to be a huge marathon that's about to end and I just can't wait to be done and start life's next chapter. I just can't wait to be an RN already! I don't think I've ever wanted something so bad. I just can't imagine doing anything else with my life.

Count me in too! God willing I'll be finally graduating in May. I remember when I first started this journey and 3 years just seemed so far away, now I can't believe its almost over. Looking forward to working full time as an RN at the same hospital that has been so good to me as an extern. Im sure that I will be crying also at graduation, its gonna be tough to figure out what to do with a book thats not a textbook

Yeah I feel you, its hard, harder than I thought. I am kinda focusing on that right now. I think the clinical instructor that I have also makes it more stressful than the other clinicals plus it's critical care... def scary, although that's really what i wanna do...

I graduate first week in June, so close lol. The only thing keeping me going at this point is counting down the days until graduation. Also have a trip booked to Las Vegas the week after graduation!
A vacation sounds great and well deserved.
I thought this semester would be easier, but our school made some changes for our last clinical rotation. They added a few presentations and a few extra APA papers. I keep telling myself I can do anything for 3 1/2 months. My personal life also has changed, my husband is unemployed now and I really feel the pressure to graduate and get a job.

I graduate in May too. Although I am very excited, this final semester is very challenging. I too am looking forward to my preceptorship in ICU which starts in May. I will be balling at out pinning ceremony as well as graduation but I thank God everyday for bringing me through this journey. I wish the best to all who are graduating in May, and to those whos journey is just beginning. KEEP YOU EYES ON THE PRIZE.
