GPC Letters

Published

Any word? I am currently not in school there (I finished all of my pre-reqs somwhere else) so I feel totally out of the loop! I applied to the L'ville campus for Fall '06.

It is so hard to wait!

I also remember RW saying that over 80% was rare and she'd never seen over 90% maybe?

How did you already get your NET score if you took it in April? I thought we'd find out the score and if we were accepted in the same letter?

Also, I emailed GPC and they said the letters have been mailed out, that we should get them by Friday. I'm dying to know too!!

Good luck to all of you!

If you took the test on the morning of April 6 at Clarkston, then I was the guy who asked RW when we could expect to receive our scores (if you weren't there, then trust me... I did :nuke:). She said we could expect to receive them through the mail in approximately 3 weeks. She was right: I got mine last week.

Like yourself, I was under the impression that once we received our score, we would know whether we were accepted or not. Obviously we were both wrong...

I've done all I know how to do. It's out of my hands now.

I know my score because I got a letter from GPC in the mail last week (Friday, 4/28, I think). It was dated 4/20/06.

The letter was from Renee Wright and just stated that the results were attached and that we should hear by the end of May 2006.

The second sheet was the actual results from ERI all broken down.

Really? You emailed them and they said they have already been mailed??!!

Oh, wow...I am so nervous. When did you get an email from them? I am thinking if they mailed them bulk it might take a few extra days than normal. I know when I was requesting transcripts, even though here in Georgia, it was taking a week because (and I actually had someone tell me this) they have to go through the postoffice on campus and that takes a bit longer. I just looked for the envelope that my NET results came in to see what it was postmarked but I must have thrown it away, but it they mailed it on the day it was dated, it took 8 days to get to me. Ok, I am analyzing this too much now!

Come on, mailman!

Maybe RW meant GPC mailed the NET scores last week, but I thought she meant the acceptance letters? now I'm confused too! Guess I'll have to check my mailbox. If it's just my NET score, I'll post to let everyone know.

She did say at the testing that since we were the last bunch sitting for the NET, that once we knew our scores, we would know the status of our admission. It sounded like, yes, we would get both at the same time. Evidently, there was a change of plans.

Hey everyone! I totally remember the feeling of waiting for that letter!! I have no idea if GPC has changed their timetable for letters since I was accepted, but I thought I would write just to let you know when I received mine!

I was accepted to GPC in 2003. My acceptance letter was dated June 23, 2003! I ended up having to move to Alpharetta right before nursing orientation and I had to call RW and ask to be deferred to the following year. Surprisingly, she was very supportive!

So, in 2004 I received another acceptance letter. This one was dated June 28, 2004. I was also accepted to NGCSU and decided to go there and now I am finally graduating!!

So, as I said, I don't know if they have changed the date they actually send out letters, but mine consistently came at the END of June.

Good luck!!!:nuke:

Nothing today. Mail just came. Ugh :(

Same thing here. I checked the mail......and tada....it was my summer bill. AAGGGHHH! I am going crazy. I can't wait to know. I really, really am hoping we get our letters by the end of this week. I do not want to go through another weekend. Good luck again everyone. Also to whoever was curious about courses I took, here is the breakdown:

I ran to the mailbox.....nothing from GPC! I am trying to be cool-it is getting harder by the day! I keep analyzing and analyzing everything I know and that I have done to get into the program- I am wearing myself out.

I hoping tomorrow will be the day... :)

I know 2 people that go to Mercer/Ga Baptist. They love it there! The only reason I did not apply there is b/c it is like $6,000/semester and I think they do like 3 years of clinical for a BSN. One of my friends lucked out and got a scholarship by her second semester from Piedmont. They will pay for the rest of her school time in exchange for her working for them after graduation. Seems like a really great nursing school though! She said all of the teachers are so willing to help you out too. :)

Yeah, I have looked at Mercer's program several times over the last few weeks. Correct me if I am wrong, but the deadline isn't until 5/15. I have this feeling that if I don't get into GPC. I am going to be kicking myself for not applying to Mercer.

The price tag is scary.
