My GPA right now is a 4.0. I got As in all of my pre-reqs for the nursing program. I just started the actual program this past week. It's tough, but I hope to continue getting As.

Some of my pre-reqs were easy, and did not require a lot of studying. Psych and English didn't really take up a lot of my time. But A&P, Chemistry, and Micro were tough and really did require a lot of time in the books. What helped me was setting aside an hour or two each night specifically to study. No TV, no distractions. Keeping organized also helps. I would type notes for each chapter that we covered in class, and that helped me prepare for tests and quizzes.

If you're in a science class with a lab, PAY ATTENTION during lab. I noticed that a lot of students would zone out or work on other stuff during the lab periods and those were usually the same students that were struggling on tests. Labs are designed to familiarize you with the material in a practical way.

Basically: study hard! Good luck.
