GPAs in NS school

what gpa did you have in pre nursing that got you into nursing school

Specializes in ICU + Infection Prevention.

3.9 at my previous school, 3.75 overall. Got me into one BSN program, rejected from the other.

Nearly half the students in my program had a GPA over 3.5

3.4 ADN program

3.98

I'm pretty sure most that were accepted have at least a 3.5

4.0 - ASN program.

You guys have high gpas what what was your gpa in high school

4.0 for a BS program. I had a lousy GPA in high school, but that was back when dinosaurs roamed the earth ;) I've learned quite a bit since then.

Specializes in ICU + Infection Prevention.

My highschool GPA was probably about 3.0

My highschool was a very competitive rigorous private prep school though... much of my college has been at a lenient CC resulting in that 3.9. My years at engineering school were 3.0

Specializes in Med/Surg, Academics.

4.0 high school

3.0 for a previous bachelor's (Ha! Drank my way through it cuz I was young and stoopid!)

4.0 for nursing pre-reqs (nearly 20 years after my previous bachelor's and taking them relatively slowly)

One B so far in my nursing program; all the rest are A's...so far. I'm preparing myself for probably two more B's. I even know the classes I'll probably get the B's in! One of the A's I've received was a real squeaker in that I barely earned the A. Just one more test question wrong, and it would have been a B.

Specializes in maybe L&D or NICU.

High school was 3.6. My overall GPA right now is 3.89 and my GPA for NS (ADN) is 4.0. We are picked by a points system so I believe everyone had at least 3.8.

Specializes in Labor and Delivery.

3.7 BSN program but at my school an A- is a 3.6 while at most other schools by me an A- is 3.77
