Got a thank you card from a patient!

This past monday, I was pulled to another unit to work. (another cardiology unit). Had a pt who was having a cath. They found severe 3 vessel disease, and he was scheduled for CABG next day.

Then I came back on Thursday and Friday, and he was back on my unit (the cardiac surgery pcu). I guess I connected with them, b/c on friday the wife of hte pt gave me a thank you card!

I thought I was going to cry!

That helped my crappy day get a bit better.
