Got 75 questions and I can't breathe

I am in the same boat. I also had 75 questions, and I know for sure I got the last one wrong. I am so scared, that I dont know how I'll survive the next 48 hrs, as I will be at work. I'm afraid to check and see if I passed at work, because I left not feeling "good" and would be mortified to find out I failed. I had many of the same questions as you.

Hi girl

I also had 75Q. 4 all that apply, EKG strip, 2 math Q, no delegation, few peeds and OB, tons of meds, teaching, priority, infectious control. I don’t know, I felt blessed to have 75Q, but I just looked up last Q and I got it wrong (?) Thus, I feel I am going to throw up:barf01:. I am 99% sure I failed . I prayed for all of us who were scheduled to take the test today, now I’ll pray for us to pass:balloons:

Lidiya and SisterSweet, your tests sound just like mine. I also had 75 questions with similar type questions as the both of you. I found out yesterday that I passed. I will keep good thoughts for the both of you. Good luck!

Is there a conspiracy or what...just kidding, but I also had 75 questions. At first I was relieved, but as I walked away I really started getting nervous. There were so many random questions and I kept narrowing it down to two answers. I almost felt like crying because I felt like I either passed or failed pretty bad. I had about 6 select all that apply, which I did not feel very confident on. Tons of prioritization, a few delegation, a lot of infectious disease, safety and prevention questions, meds and teaching. The test took me 2 hours. I guess all I can do is wait and pray for myself and everyone else and hope I dont have to pick up these books and stress out again. I hope we all find out we are RNs this week. :monkeydance:

Well I just read about CAT test. (I know I should have read b4 taking NCLEX )

From what I understand, I does not matter if you answered last Q right or wrong (in case of the 75Q) because it looks if you answered at least 50% of the hard Q correct. Meaning, if you were getting higher difficulty Q that were above passing range and if you answered 50% of them correct - you passed. Otherwise - you failed.

In case of 265 Q, computer looks for the last Q and determines if 50% of them were above passing rate and if you answered them correct.

The only problem I have with CAT, how do you know which Q is a higher level Q.

For example, I had teaching, priority, infection control, all that apply Q, EKG strip to read - were they difficult enough to pass ?

I also had 2 math Q, 1 pure Lab Q, 2 fundamentals Q - are those the bottom line of "easy"? Or there are more easier Q out there?

Well, let's pray and we still have a chance to pass :balloons:!

I went to dinner with my family, and all I thing is to how to keep food inside of me:lol2:.

I drive my husband and my parents crazy already, and I don't even know how they going to survive next 48hrs:rolleyes:.

Forgot one more thing . Did you see I started a new thread and it says “ Those possessed NCLEX –RN” No wonder there is no replies :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: I meant “Those who passed NCLEX “

There is no way of knowing. Some people had med calculations and passed, and somebody mentioned that if you had med calculation it's bad. Nobody knows. I've read somewhere on the forum that pictures on the NCLEX are types of the alternative Q, and those are higher difficulty once ?

2 fill in the blank calculations that I had were not easy once (had to covert every step)

The first one was Q#2 and the second one was somewhere in the 50-60, meaning that I failed it horribly , or passed .

BTW, after 2nd one , I had bunch of teaching, priority and infection control that were throw in until the end.

Lidiya, Girl I'm just so nervous :uhoh21:, I thought that test was very hard. I can't even remember the drugs that I had and believe me I had alot. I had 5 select all that apply and I hate those. I'm the first in my class to take this exam and I can't imagine having to say I f-------. I refuse to spell the word . Anyway I'm going to keep praying for all of us and hopefully we will get our results by thursday. Hang in there (I know I have a nerve), but it's easy to give advice than it is to take it. :)

Daydreaming, I too will be at work tomorrow and I can't find out while I'm there. I might pass out or something. I'm working 7pm - 7am so I won't find out until Thursday morning when I get off from work. Just keep praying and try to relax.

Hi everyone, I guess I found the right thread. I too had 75 Q yesterday at 9am, it took me 2 hours and I had alot of priority, like 4 all that apply YUCK , and 1 fill in the blank math w/conversions steps all the way, and 1 place these in the right steps. I felt iniatially like maybe I did OK, but now as time go's on - I am getting so scared I F_______. Mine were heavy on the priority, but why do's it take so long to find out the results????? I have been checking every 3 hours on the BON and on pearson for quick results. My husband is grumpy with me and says well if you didn't pass, I wouldn't waste all this time on studying like you did last time. He just dosn't get it!!!! It's not a waste anyhow but he is tired of me always studying. Please pray for me too and my prayers are with all of you too.
