I got my nclex results in the mail yesterday with the breakdown of the areas that you are weak in. Well all of mine said near passing, nothing said below and nothing above. I am so confused what does this mean, I don't even know what areas I really need to focus on. Any help would be great.
Anayo thanks so much I do have the Kaplan NCLEX strategies 2010 edition. Do you think that edition is good enough? I will be doing more Saunders this time around. The first time I strickly used exam cram, but I think saunders would be helpful to me.

Did you pass, or not? Did it say "congrats" or "we're sorry"?

The category breakdown is to give you a general idea of your overall performance. The great news is, you didn't score below passing. I failed my nclex the first time and my breakdown was above passing and near passing, so my interpretation of the analysis was I was very close to passing my exam. IT is very important for you to concentrate on your weaknesses and work hard to improve in those areas. Also, look at each category and subcategory of the NCLEX and familiarize yourself with each area. Hope this was helpful. Happy New Year!

Exam cram is not useful for boards except maybe quizzes back in my days. You need a more comprehensive indepth book like Saunders. So yeah that's a good study tool but you must practice CD questions. And yes Kaplan 2010 book is a good source. It helped me in passing my exam onetime
The key is not by jamming info (knowledge is part of the success) but how to critically answer a question. That's where Kaplan assists you. Good luck!
