well I interviewed like a month or so ago for a job in rural ky, walked away thinking they were not interested so today I get a call asking if I was interested or not since they had not heard from me I guess the the former office manager was supposed to have called and offered a position before he left but did not. so now i am wondering if this is just a glitch on their end or they could not find any one else who was interested, when I say rural I mean rural but I really liked the area and the staff was awesome. One other thing I have already given my 2 week notice and I am really feeling crappy the greenies coming out and everything, out of my chest do I call in and risk being fired or go in and make everyone else sick ergh:imbar

Hey congrats on the job offer! That is wonderful and I'm sure takes a lot of stress off of you.

As to whether you should call in - well that depends on many factors and its really only a decision you can make. Hope you feel better soon.

If you like the job, the area and the offer is good, then who cares if you were not their first pick? Obviously they liked you enough to offer the job to you, so just be happy!! Take it. I hear KY is really nice.

If you are sick and infectious, you should stay home. Don't risk infecting your patients...many of whom may likely have poor immune systems and chronic diseases already. Honesty is the best policy...explain you are sick, and stay home. Do you think they would fire someone for calling in sick when they are actually sick? If so, it doesn't matter what they think. PS: Congrats on the job offer! I agree with the previous poster...who cares if you were their first choice or whether it was a glitch. If you are interested in the position, GO FOR IT!!! (I also hear Kentucky is beautiful!). Best of luck to you.
