got an interview.. Pay for RN Shreveport?

Hi everyone, guess there aren't many Shreveport nurses on this forum, but I am desperate (which is why I am posting on this forum as well as Louisiana forum). I got an interview for night shift RN position on med-surg part time. Any ideas of what to accept/suggest as pay? (I am new to the area) I have about 3 years exp. but have been out of work almost 3 years? Thank you for input. I have gone on salary websites but they are not very accurate. I know it I went in and asked for what these sites are suggesting I would get laughed out of the interview...

You don't say if you worked in Shrevepot in your last position, but if you did, I'd probably ask for one or two dollars an hour more than what you got at your last job if you must. However, I've read that you should try to avoid being the first to mention a dollar figure. If you find that you absolutely must tell them what you want before they tell you what the job pays, then give them a pay range instead of an exact figure so you don't under bid the position.

Thanks GM2RN. I appreciate input. No I havent worked in Shreveport before and I know pay varies so much even within the state...
