Aside from pay, that is possibly the worst assignment there is in California. Also one of the rare HCA hospitals in California. Perhaps the two things are related?
I wouldn't go there for $20 more an hour and live in one of the worst gang infested cities in America.
Ask this recruiter if this is a difficult assignment and see what she says. Then ask her why she didn't volunteer this info and why this assignment is OK for a first time traveler.
Is riverside not a good area to travel to? I have a possible interview lined up with Riverside Community Hospital

Depends. Do you just want money (if you have a good offer that is), or do you want to work at one of the very worst hospitals in California? Yes, it is an HCA hospital, one of only 6 in California, and the worst one of the 6. Besides that, Riverside has one of the most gang infested area in California. There are a lot of other choices, rule this one out if you are a new traveler.

I spoke with a "highly rated" travel company today and got some info about a "sample" travel assignment they have in Riverside, CA.
I'm looking for opinions of whether or not this sounds like a good deal. Keeping in mind that everybody has different goals - my goal is to make money, that's it.
Sample: $45/hr
$20 hourly rate
$20/hr for housing stipend which is $720/wk (recruiter based on 36hr/wk)
$5/hr for meals and incidentals
this is without them providing housing or insurance (i'll be on my wife's insurance)
