Included in my package was a letter that offered a class called "Making the Most of Nursing School." Did you take this class, and if so, did you feel it helped you? I'm thinking about signing up for it just to gain a little bit of insight about what I'm about to get into. :)

I'm in second semester right now and I did not take that class. However, I know several people who did and they said it helped a lot!! You learn about dosage calculation and some other important information that will give you a head start. I would recommend it from what I have heard from other students!
As far as the class, I really enjoyed it maybe because it was during the summer and I was just ready for school to start. It was helpful because they reviewed dosage calc, so I understood what the pharm teacher was talking about when school started. You will have to take a dosage cal test and make a 90 a couple of weeks after school starts. You have 3 tries to make a 90 and the teacher gives plenty of study guides and homework which will prepare you for the exam. The other good thing about the class I enjoyed was we were able to ask all kinds questions regarding clinical, school, nursing, studying, working, etc. which helped ease some of the anticipation. Also I took the class that had the CPR attached so I could get it out of the way.

was anyone that has been accepted....... in the ASN program, because, that is what I am in , I did not get in and I am okay with that but now a lot of people with lower GPA's, CT scores and lower TEAS scores are posting on facebook that they got in and I really do not understand it , my self and one other person that I know of, are both in the ASN degree program and neither of us were accepted ...if anyone has any input I would LOVE to hear it.... Thanks and congrats to all who are in!!!
I gave up my seat, so hopefully someone will get in that got waitlisted
