The printable applications are up on the Gordon site now!!! I was surprised it was already up! Got mine printed & filled out with all my stuff packed away in an envelope ready to turn in first thing Monday morning! I'm applying for the bridge program, but I'm interested in everyone's stats and I hope everyone can get in!
Post here if you're applying!
Also, what are the stats of everyone who's applying? I made a 74.7 on the TEAS and my GPA is not so great. So I'm holding my breath and hoping I make it!
Good luck to everyone!!! :)
I'm afraid you're going to have to ask your advisor about this - they have revamped the program and have changed the class numbers that you take.. I've never even seen or heard of 1905 or 1910 - and from the fall schedule it looks like those have replaced 1901 and 1921, so I'm not sure - just call up and talk to someone in the nursing office and they can help you out.
The validation test is just basic nursing knowledge from a practical nurse level - I don't recall it being that hard, but I believe we had 3 in my group that had to retake it, but 1 was due to a technical issue. I can't remember but I feel like they give you a practice module/test for it, do that a few times until you've remembered all the answers and that should help you. as far as the dosage calculation test, I had to retake it because I misread 1 of the questions and made an 85 instead of a 90, it's pretty basic, just make sure you round up and round down right and read carefully. As far as the skills test, it sucked for me, but I had the WORST possible teacher grading me, she was a nightmare and is no longer at the school anyway!!! I also hadn't done any med/surg skills since I graduated LPN school at the time because I worked in psych - just brush up on the skills and they will give you time to practice and go over how to do them, and just make sure you do them the "school way" instead of your way and you'll be fine.

The critical thinking test is very difficult to describe, it's not based on knowledge, it's more based on prioritizing and choice making and being able to apply information that you're given. I can't recall any example questions right now, but if I think of any or see any I'll post them for you! :)
