Goodwin Summer 2022

Hi, just looking to see if anyone else has applied to Goodwin for their nursing program this Summer? I applied for the Spring start and didn't have enough points so I'm back at it again with an extra point this time and hoping for the best. 

I hear you on that LOL.....it's all about the points it seems. Judging by previous years threads 16 and up seem to be accepted but once again it all depends on the pool so we wait and see

this is my first time applying, I graduated UConn in May with my bachelor's so with everything after my first semester at goodwin I have 16 points with a 4.0 GPA. it's so hard to see where you are or stand in the pool it's awful LOL

My advisor also said they're sending them out Monday ? I'm still holding out for this Thursday though LOL

I think they say that so we stop asking them, kinda gives a buffer if mail is delayed and the letters don’t get to us by the end of this week.

I can only imagine the calls they start getting from the moment the application period ends....but thats where it would be easier to send a confirmation email telling you hey, we have your papers but it's going to be until such and such before you get an answer.

Letters always go out before registration so that you can register as needed when registration opens. That has always been how they do it. So we should know for sure by this weekend. IDK why anyone else would be telling us otherwise. Last year when I applied I heard back the weekend before registration. Hopefully things haven't changed.

Sunday we don't get mail and Monday is a holiday, so it would make sense to receive them Thurs-Sat. if they want it before registration

@SoWil my advisor set me up with classes to pick just in case, but I guess if you're accepted into nursing your nursing advisor, not your current advisor, places you in the nursing course.

@kriolifran112 you cracked the code LOL Monday is a holiday, the offices are probably closed- therefore, theyre not going out Monday.

the anxiety over this is incredibly annoying LOL, I agree I thkink we will get them this week Thursday and Friday. Good luck to us all! ♥️

That’s all so anxiety provoking and aggravating! No one really seems to have any answers. We’re supposed to have the letters at least a week before registration starts.

Just got my deans list notification. At least I didn’t have my hopes up about it being the nursing letter -_-
