Congrats to all that have been accepted ?

I don't think anyone else started a facebook group so I made one if you want to join.  If someone else created one, I can delete this one, just let me know.

It's under Goodwin University Summer 2024 Nursing Cohort.  The link is below.

Is there anyone here that hasn't received the covid vaccine? I have questions!

I received my first two and was thinking of trying to get an exemption for the booster as previously my doctor wouldn't allow me to get it but now I got the "OK" fro him so I'm just going to get it.  I don't want to risk not finding a hospital to complete clinical in.  My cousin graduated from the program this year and said someone in her clinical got an exemption due to religion but he had to push really hard for it.  It sounds like it's not the school, it's the hospitals.

Thank you for responding! That Is my biggest concern right now. I'm nervous to get it. My doctor won't give me the exemption. I was just trying to see if there are any hospitals that are accommodating. I might have to just get it done.

are you on the facebook group? theres like 6 people in it so far.

For my current job they required it, and that's banking, so even if we want to get a job after graduating, I'm guessing it'll be like the flu shot and required yearly or something.  I had my first two but the last one was in May 2021 and it was fine, but last year I had a bad flare up (I have RA) and for any covid vaccines I need to stop my medication for two weeks before and after.  I'm super nervous about  flaring and also getting sick because the day I have to take it is 2 days before a cruise I'm taking, but with the timeline of my medication and deadline of submitting my paperwork I don't have a choice.  Good luck with whatever choice you make!

Yes! I'm in the FB group! You're right, it's something that is not going to go away. I am going to have to bite the bullet I guess. I'm sorry to hear that you have to go through that, it sounds terrible. I wish there were other alternatives, PPE or what-not. Enjoy your cruise! Sounds like a nice way to take a break before we give up everything for a couple of years!
