I just received my second rejection for the program but it’s OK!
I’ve been an LPN for over 10 years and had finally found enough courage to go back to school, while working full time AND with 2 young children, in May 2020. My job and life was becoming the hardest it had ever been but I had to stay focused! I havent taken any time off since so I just have a few non-nursing courses left through the BSN! Unfortunately, it means nothing if I can’t get into those nursing courses!
Anyway, its time to switch gears! I work for IHS as a Community Outreach Worker/LPN, and I am positive I have plenty to offer; whether it’s continuing to pursue nursing, or a degree in public health. Plus, I LOVE my job!
I am so excited for any of you who were accepted! It’s not an easy feat, so be SUPER PROUD! I may be back for an accelerated BSN once I’ve earned a bachelors in public health…maybe not…but I can’t afford to keep chasing a program like this. It’s excellent, don’t get me wrong, but too much to apply a third time and pass up more affordable options.
Good luck, everyone! ❤️ I look forward to seeing all of you who received an acceptance packet!!
