It would be awesome to do two of my favorite things at the same time... study anesthesia and watch the sun set over the beautiful beaches of PC. I have talked to a CRNA who graduated from there about 2 yrs ago and he seemed to have only good things to say about it. He didnt go into depth about the program but I did ask him if he felt like the school prepared him well for the responsiblities he has as a crna, and he said "very much so."
I know this doesnt help much but I would also like to see what others who have gone here have to say about it so maybe this will get the ball rolling.
not so popular ay??
I sincerely looked at Gooding. I liked the model they work under (I assume it is the same now): one main location but you do it all, i think one satellite center, no anesthesia residents, small class all on the front row.
I was passing through one day on the way to meet the family in Florida, stopped by and nosed around a bit, took pictures of the hospital and all. Kind of suprised security didn't show up....
I decided I probably couldn't be in PCB and study at the same time and I liked some of the programs in TN, so I went elsewhere.
A great model that I'm sure puts out awesome clinicians.
I am not going there but I know CRNA's that have and they have nothing but good to say about it. I like how they put you in the OR fast. I think that is cool. I wish the one I will be attending did that but.......It is supposed to be a most excellent program though and I agree, it would be awesome to sit on the beach and study :)
Hey ICU nurse....my interview is also on the 27th @ 1630. I work with 4 CRNAs that have gone to Gooding within the last 5 years. They have said the same about personal type questions, but I would still be prepared for clinical cause some of the board members have changed since then. Oh, and I do agree with you on the nerves....I have them too.

Where do you work?
Hello... I also had an interview at Gooding in February. I really liked the program and the students had nothing but positive comments about the school. I only had three people on my interview panel. I got the feeling that there was supposed to be more, but it was laid back. I guess we find out next week. I wonder how many students they are accepting this year...:heartbeat
