Good TEAS score?

U.S.A. Louisiana

Hi all, I don't post much, but I just took the TEAS today. I got an 84.1. I know that's more than what's needed to get in (the proctor today told us that they're raising the minimum score to 70 in September) and I have a 4.0 (this is with everything under my belt before A&P II, ENGL 102, and MATH 128). I'm just freaking out post-test here... I studied my backside off and thought I'd do a bit better. Do I have a chance to get in for August 2009?

Sincerely,

Scared-to-death!!

studying the study guide from the book store really only helped me for the math equations. the science portion i had was about geology, some based around experiments and they had one a&p question about the pancreas and insulin. The english is straight forward. I ran out of time on the math and just started answering anything on the last 2 or 3 question.

REDBEANS>>> So overall, did you pass it and with what score? I'm curious since you said the book from the school did not help you in the science portion. And one more question, is the book that the school gave you different from the ATI manual that is sent from online? Or is it the same book?

Does anyone besides myself, don't see the point in having taken math 118 and A&P I before the TEAS exam? I'm not going to do it that way. They recommend it, but I am going to study from the ATI book and brush up on my math by taking the categories that the TEAS site say the math comes from and do it that way and as far as the science portion is concerned, there is no "real" way of studying for that because it's all over the place for what I understand and the site also gives you a breakdown of categories they pull questions from on that as well. I plan to take the test in Jan.

i think the book was the same one, it wasn't one that the school made, it was made by the company that makes the test. i made like a 75% i think. i also took the online test too for practice, i did worse online that than the actual day of the test.

Did you wait and take the test after you had math 118 and A&P I out of the way? Or did you study and go ahead and take it without taking one or both of those classes? And congrats by the way for making past the required score and making the score in general.

I'm going to Charity and I had all of my pre reqs except the sciences and math so because of when you have to apply I think I was taking them at the time. I found out at the last minute that you have to apply pretty much a year in advance. (I took the TEAS and applied around this time last year and I'm starting school in January) I pretty much signed up and took the TEAS in a months time so I could start this January so I wouldn't have to sit out of school a semester and because I was in those classes didn't have much time to study for the test because I was more focused on those classes.

I am taking my TEAS next month in November. I am trying to decide if I want to take it on the 12th or the 18th though. I ordered my ATI Study Manual with the Online Assessment tonight. I can't wait to get the book so I can start studying right away. Mainly interested in that math section to see what kind of questions would the TEAS test throw out. Well, I will stay in touch with all of you before then and after then. My goal is to pass the TEAS on the first try. How was everyone else's math on here? What kind of metric conversions should I study?
