Shjoaquin,
OMG, girl! Let us know how you do (like asap!) and thanks so much for the well-wishes! I actually chickened out and backed my date up to the 2nd week of July.
LizRN-when do you sit?
I am a nervous wreck!
Mistie
I just could not study anymore! I'm on information overload so I moved my test date to tomorrow
I'll let you know how I do!
Good Luck!! MistieRN I did the same thing...my original date was the 11th. I passed today but can honestly say I don't even know how....it was not what I expected at all. I would say that it all the concepts in the Fitzgerald Review and Leik book but you have to know the little details of every disease....the questions are so random...definitely not the obvious stuff.
If I had a pointer it would be to study by diseases and know each presentation, diagnostic tests, treatment and pharmacology. Problem is more than half of what you study won't even be on the exam. I imagine everyone's tests are so different you just gotta study it all.
So I freaked out and moved my test back...but I did get to the point that LizRN is at and just had to get it over with...the extra time will give you the confidence you need and then you will do fine!! Good luck!!

Congrats! It's a great feeling!
I passed! It was hard, but I got to a point where I felt like there wasn't anything more I could learn. Know the BASICS! There are definitely some questions that are way out of left field, but I just don't think there is a good way to prepare for those. I used Fitzgerald and Leik and I felt like they complemented each other nicely. Good luck Mistie!
Congrats to both of you! That has to be a GREAT feeling. Were you both still getting like in the 70%'s when you tested? I am still worried about my pretest grades I am sooo jealous (but happy 4 u)..I've even thought about just not taking it and going into nursing management--that's how scared I am. Was it all like diabetes, TB, asthma like I have heard?
I was getting 70% and up BUT I stopped taking the practice tests because they were just freaking me out. I thought reading explanations of questions was helpful with studying but actually taking the tests wasn't a great reflection of how I did on the AANP exam. The questions are different. You will do great!
Same for me...still getting 70 percent on average...
Congrats LizRN....and Mistie good luck...can't wait to hear that you passed as well!!

Congrats to all who have passed. I take my ANCC exam on July 9 and I am scared to death. I think this is my third round listening to fitzgerald CDs. I am still working my way through Fitzgerald and Hollier review books. I took a practice exam that was a mock up of the ANCC in my last semester and passed it, but I am still scared to death but at the same time ready to have this over and get my life back.
I am tired of feeling guilty when I am not studying for the test!
Dojo,
I can totally relate as to the guilt of not studying. Ummm, like right now being on here and the 20minutes on Facebook.... Anyway, I am looking for some extra test questions to take. Where did you get the mock ANCC test questions? I already went on their website and took those...still getting like 18/25 though Seriously considering moving my date from July 14 up to like the 10th or so...getting irritated and scared
