Nursing really is a brutal program. I know at my school they accept about 125 freshmen, and their graduating classes are around 25-30. The Gen eds tend to weed them out, and if not them it's the HESIs!
We have yet to lose any one! My program is pretty small (about 45 total, split into 2 groups of 21 and 24 students) so it will be obvious who did not come back in January.
to be fair --- 2 failed a random drug screening... i underestimated the time and study requirements that would be required for the program, and the other 2 could successfully preform skill checkoffs within the 2 attempts given.
